NOT ANOTHER ONE!

That would most likely be your expression when you discover that this post is actually about Corona Virus... the infamous virus that has put the world on pause-COVID-19.

More than facts and figures, we’ll be having a brief overview of the impact and different perspectives the pandemic has created in our immediate society.
Without wasting space and time, we’ll start at the origin, China.  The outbreak of COVID-19 has left a lot of people with angry questions ... ‘Why must it always be China?’...Or...  ‘Who eats stuff like bats or frogs or other gross unmentionables?’. I remember seeing a post on social media with a funny request ‘Can’t someone just nuke ‘em already?’. It shouldn’t be wrong to whisper that this is a question of a culture, way of life, a pattern of eating et cetera.

A funny question could be... ‘What if our eating Amala or Fufu, or any other traditionals like even palm wine, led to a viral pandemic? Would it call for similar questioning?. Pointing of fingers will most definitely not help in developing the much needed remedy to this situation.

*This post was not meant to induce arguments but to provoke thought and parallel reasoning.*

Looking at its influence on society as a whole, the ‘stay safe ‘campaign. We’re advised to remain in isolation, as this is the best way to curb transmission. The effects of the outbreak in our society can be broken down to caution and panic. Panic due to lots of misinformation and exaggerations of the spread and virulence of the pandemic. Indeed, COVID-19 has made us value little things as hugs, unchecked movement, free sneezing(yeah), crowds and others. And even when this is over, it has the potential to have indelibly affected our relationships with people even down to our personalities as individuals.

It is best that correct information be gotten, precautionary measures be taken, and communication be kept running. Physical isolation is probably the safest, but check up on friends and family, share advice, state of being and experiences...we have phones and social media. Corona virus is not transmitted by love, or simple care! Don’t visit though

Other speculations remain, as to the genesis and intent behind the virus. But time reveals all.

Corona is dangerous, panic more so. But is the greatest danger the loss of sense of humanity?

  2. This is a good one. While we wait for whatever is hidden to unfold, we depend on DIVINE protection as we adhere to the general rules.

  6. Great post. I love your last sentence.
Most people are concerned about "Sanitizing their hands" without doing the most important "Sanitizing their hearts".

Whatsapp emoji shouldn't be in a blog post tho.
