Who doesn’t
just love food? The word alone starts an immediate inexpensive trip to
wonderland. All the possible combinations, all the vibrant and dull colours,
all the flavours, all we wish it was and what it actually is. I’m drooling
writing this, in fact.
Like walking
through a garden of flowers that you can ‘see’, smell but not touch. Why
wouldn’t a hungry man be an angry man?
Even as
important as the food itself, are factors like plating, and the medium of
eating(spoon, fork, hand et cetera). A green stain on white plate for probably
Jellof rice can definitely make you feel that it tastes different. Even eba has
different feels when eaten with cutlery as opposed to hands(personally sha).
You could
relate to this well because not only is it a hopefully regular event as
breakfast, lunch and dinner, but it is also a facet of everyday life.
People are
even more diverse than food. In as much variety as every single person. Each
with their own plates, cutlery and flavour.
PLATE
This refers
to stuff that affect how you come off to people. Things that make a first
impression of you. What speaks about you to someone even before you talk to the
person. Dressing, gait, language(manner of speaking), eating habits et cetera.
Some of these things still continue to speak as you talk. Popular phrases are
attributed to each of them... ‘The way you dress, you are addressed’, ‘Walk
like a king/queen...’, to mention but these two. First impression matters quite a lot
as it is said to have rare second chances.. People’s opinion are not your
life’s steering wheel but learning certain manners and mannerisms can help make
our first impressions intentional.
SPOON (CUTLERY)
The cutlery
give the link between the food and the tasting. Having no taste in themselves
but only feel so as to give all buccal attention to the food itself.
Your
relating reveals at least a percent of who you are to someone. Some people are
not easy to get to know. Others seem unfriendly but turn out to be quite easy
to approach and talk with. With some,
it’s easy to acquaint but a war keeping a conversation going.
‘I thought
you were like this at first...’ is a line you can only have from people you
keep some contact with as opposed to much more that you seldom meet again.
Probably because the first spoon is sometimes not enough to judge a meal
THE MEAL
The real
deal. This is who you are as a person. How good a meal is, is dependent on how
it has been prepared. Spicy, flavourful, salty, bland et cetera. This is a
variable as it can change with time, knowledge, skill acquisition, learning, exposure
and experience.
This period
is certainly an ample opportunity to change our position on the menu, from
desserts to full course meals. Learn something, start something, do something.
Anything that can add to yourself as a person. You could learn to walk better,
speak better, eat better, relate easier or learn about or do profitable stuff
you have either always wanted time to do or never knew about.
Do you agree
with the meal to people analogy? Are you a foodie too? Share in the comments.

Well, what can i say... I'm a foodie.
ReplyDeleteThe first spoon is sometimes not enough to judge a meal just as it is sometimes the reason why one can decide to explore the meal,or as well, just leave it...

Yeah, I'm a foodie,a very great one
I eat everytime, always hungry after 10mins of every food I take in...I should be banned from entering the Kitchen and Dining Room...lols
But The chief pleasure in eating does not consist in costly seasoning, or exquisite flavor, but in yourself...IN YOURSELF!
Also,Stop eating any food you know that you are allergic to, that is, those foods that aren't good for your body system.
I know I eat a lot but I have allergies tho, which most of my friends don't believe because they know I damn eat a lot.Am not allergic to most baked dishes but am allergic to most cooked dishes. What I do now is Self-control over foods.
Don't bite off more than you can chew and don't bite the hands that feed you. Good Food is Good Mood.
Thank you very much... But chai... Your case is critical ohπ
