Yeah, you guessed it right.
This is far from a guide to making a million naira in six days.
The lockdown is still in place and probably nothing might be more enticing than a million naira in six days. Surprisingly, there are articles on how to actually make this come true. How legit they are however, is something you could already guess.
Not to sound preachy or to go off on the ‘a $1 worked for is worth more than $100 gotten freely’ line, but it’s become basic knowledge that making such amounts from scratch and in such a short time is not really realistic. As much as we would want for it to be, it just isn’t.
Since it isn’t feasible, here is something that is.
How to be productive during the lockdown
Take it easy
It can easily get overwhelming with what everyone seems to be doing with themselves and their lives. From Instagram to WhatsApp, everyone seems to have it all figured out despite the inconveniences of the lockdown. Almost literally, ‘everyone is now taking orders’.
It’s easy to feel behind or like you’re not doing anything. Take it easy!
Someone said,
‘This is a lockdown not a productivity contest’
It’s okay to not know what to do. It’s even normal not to want to do anything – sometimes. This period is not a competition. No one is actually going to be given ‘most productive person of the lockdown’ award. But before you throw your legs on the couch and relax, hold on a moment.
Don’t take it too easy
An honest truth is that if you feel you are not doing enough, then you most likely can do more. Yes it isn’t a productivity contest or anything similar but it’s also far from a reason not to intentionally better the person you came into the lockdown as.
A friend of mine told me,
(paraphrased)
Besides academics or finances... something to add value to oneself, maybe an instrument, or even barbing so you can trim your kids’ hairs in the future... just anything!
Read a book or books, expand your horizon mentally and otherwise, try your hand at something outside of you. Start a sport, learn a skill, take a step towards improving yourself any which way. Ask questions, if you’re solely focused on finances, do so and wisely.
This is actually a competition, but with yourself.
Friends and family matter
You will need a reminder that you should start and keep at something productive, or you’ll need energy or vibes to keep you going. Your friends and family should be able to do this for you.
A simple honest chat with a friend on what you both have done or are doing and want to do or keep doing can be the spark you need. Aside from all the ‘whyning’ and ‘na God oh’ s, having sincere conversations can set you in motion.
Iron sharpens iron
Your family
can be your biggest energy source. Their help, reactions, advice,
contributions et cetera should not be underestimated.
Pray
There is more to everything than there is to see. Thing is, direction, energy boost or anything the above can give, can also be gotten from prayer. It would do a whole world of good if you properly and effectively utilized this usually overlooked tool.
These are far from being the only ways to staying productive during the lockdown, but they are sure to help and at least give you some sense of direction.
Do add some
of your own contributions in the comments. And if you actually know how to make
a million naira in six days, then please share too.
The comments can actually be more helpful than the post.

Chai one million in six days? If you see how I rush open the link eh?
ReplyDeleteI wanted to see the magic word or sorcerer's book you would recommend but on a second thought, it is actually possible to make one million in six days....
If only you've worked longer than six days to build a system that would deliver it.
You can either work for the money or create a system that makes money work for you. Whichever way, you still have to develop yourself.
Money get power na... Ha
DeleteLoved the part you mentioned time and a system.
Steve Harvey said money takes time to make, which is undoubtedly true. To keep it flowing, you need a system. Thanks for sharing this short but heavy one
