‘That pimply face’, ‘That extra
weight’, ‘That complexion’, ‘That shape’, ‘That skin type’, ‘That eye size’.
We live in a
world of so many ‘this and thats’. Stuff that we desperately want to change
about ourselves - our looks, our attitudes, down to our life conditions. Our
desire to change things about ourselves is in no little way helped by social
media. The luxurious and exuberant lifestyles displayed on social media has us
all drawn like children to candy. No matter how we try not to, at least once in
awhile, some of us wish it was ‘Keeping up with the Bobs(or your own name)’
instead of the Ks’.
The desire for change is no doubt, one of the catalysts for innovation, transformation and revolution. Dissatisfaction with one’s current state can be a driving force to eat healthier, start working out, work harder, think more and so on. But even more important is the root of our desires. ‘Why do we want what we want?’.... Is it to be like certain people, look like certain people, flaunt things like certain people or to be better versions of ourselves that would never come to light without our taking steps of change.
The effects of
our reasons and our desires can be seen in outcomes like depression/suicide or
actions/progress.
It would be wonderful to recheck and redefine our reasons for our decisions and desires. Speaking of people we want to be like. We’re not in any way undermining the value and place of mentors and icons, as they are rather indispensable to our achieving and actualizing whatever we desire.
Back to insecurities, if it can be changed, change it. If it can be worked on, work on it. If it is you, accept it. Herein you’ll find confidence – in the fact that ‘you’re you and are working on you to become the best version of you that you can be’ (cheesy? I know)
“ Some things we’re insecure about could be our most attractive qualities ”

DeleteIf they can do something to change it, then there's no need to worry... There are lots of remedies to such situations... Can't really recommend any but they could meet experts, google home remedies and other possibilities, note the cause be it weight gain or loss, and work on it.... If it can't be remedied then beating oneself up about something we can't change won't change anything... It might seem easy to say because I might not be the one in the scenario... But it might not be as hard as we tend to think
Its a nice piece of writing Sir
